DV FEATURE The Russ examines how the world's largest high school graduation party—27 straight days of teenagers riding around in buses and vans equipped with powerful sound systems, drinking, having sex, pulling pranks on their parents and teachers, and wreaking havoc on society at large—is also a 200 year-old tradition sanctioned by all levels and institutions of Norwegian society, right up to the royal family. The Russ, based upon which Kinetic Arts is developing a narrative feature called Norwegian Wood, is an eye-opening look at teens shedding their childhood with a bang, and learning the lessons of life, love and friendship through an unforgettable month of partying and soul-searching.
